Basically, I think your drive may be toast if you want to use it again on an Xbox. I did a lot of research into Xbox 360 hard drives and made a utility for reading them on your computer some years back called Party Buffalo, so I'm decently familiar with the structure of these drives. No luck with the original Xbox hard drive with this method, so I'll be re-purposing it in another machine. But you know, most ideally, I'd just like to get my original Xbox drive working. Thus far the only real option I have found is that I can use a Western Digital drive I have laying around and hack it to work using this guide. What methods are available to fix my hard drive so that it works on my Xbox again? Now that I have reconnected my Xbox 360 hard drive to my Xbox, it will not be recognized. It seems as if by design Xbox only wants to allow you to do formatting stuff on the Xbox, using the Xbox's built in utilities. Because I am about to sell it, I connected said hard drive to my computer using a sata-to-usb connector. I have an Xbox 360 S with a 250gb hard drive.
